Tseng, Yin

Yin Tseng MBA 25
Co-Presdient

Yin Tseng earned her B.A. in Liberal Arts from San Francisco State University and is currently pursuing her MBA at UC Davis Graduate School of Management. A skilled problem solver, she brings extensive experience in accounting, people operations, and administrative operations. She works as a consultant specializing in helping startups and small organizations grow and scale. Her career spans industries including tech, medtech, biopharma, venture capital, and wealth management.
Yin is passionate about environmental sustainability, ethical business practices, and collaboration to drive meaningful impact. Her dedication to community engagement is reflected in her commitment to dog rescues, while her love for sci-fi fantasy and technology showcases her curious and nerdy side.

In her free time, Yin enjoys discovering new eats, spending quality downtime with family and friends, and traveling to explore diverse cultures and culinary experiences. As co-president of the Bay Area Graduate Student Association, she is dedicated to building a strong professional network and creating inclusive spaces that encourage leadership and personal growth.

Armand Nasseri

Armand Nasseri MBA 25
Co-President

Armand Nasseri is pursuing a part-time MBA at UC Davis (Class of 2025), specializing in product management in technology. He graduated from UC Davis in 2019 with a B.S. in Computer Science & Engineering. He is concurrently working as a software engineer at Oracle and is fascinated in Analytics and AI. He enjoys traveling, hiking, riding motorcycles and going to the gym on his free time.

Sophina Moore

Sophina Moore MBA 25
Vice President, External Affairs

Sophina Moore is a 2025 Bay Area MBA candidate working for JP Morgan Chase in product management within the Commercial Banking Global Liquidity Account Solutions and Balance Benefits Team. Originally from Danville, California, and a proud alumna of UC Davis, where she earned her degree in managerial economics, Sophina excels in fostering connections, organizing impactful events, and contributing to collaborative efforts across various teams and initiatives.

She is also a professional equestrian, specializing in show jumping and three-day eventing, traveling all over to compete with her imported German horse, Fritz. Sophina also helps with her family’s seasonal agriculture business, contributing her time and effort to support its success. When she’s not working or riding, she enjoys skiing both on the slopes and the water, golfing, and staying active through workout classes like Rumble Boxing and CorePower Yoga. She is passionate about traveling, with her favorite destination being Lake Como in Italy. To unwind, she loves watching Formula One races, Yellowstone and The Great British Bake Off.

Alex Schultz

Alex Schultz MBA 25
Vice President, Internal Affairs

Alex Schultz is a Bay Area MBA candidate in the fall 2023 cohort. Originally from Maryland, Alex earned his B.S. in business with a concentration in marketing and information systems from the University of Colorado in 2022. Alex works on the product development team at Redwood Credit Union, focused on expanding access to financial services and promoting financial wellness for all. He currently lives in Napa Valley, in the North Bay Area.

Alex’s work aligns with his passion for diversity, inclusion, belonging and expanding opportunity for all. As VP of internal affairs, he is dedicated to fostering connections between groups at the GSM and across UC Davis and making sure the MBA student experience is the best it can be. In his free time, you can find Alex skiing in Tahoe, exploring a new place, spinning a new (or old) record, curling up with a good book, tinkering with new technology or finding the next great coffee shop.

Matthew Huang
 

Matthew Huang MBA 25
Director of Marketing and Communications

Matthew Huang is a Bay Area MBA candidate at the University of California, Davis. Matthew received his Bachelor of Science in business administration from California State University, Monterey Bay (CSUMB). He was previously involved with the CSUMB Associated Students Finance Board in addition to being the VP of the Human Resources Club on campus. Matthew is passionate about contributing to the growth and development of public-sector practices with his extensive experience working in staff development, veteran services, and governmental social services. His goal is to provide a seamless experience for GSM students and staff through servant leadership and integrity.

In his free time, he is an avid car enthusiast and enjoys exploring various cultures and cuisines. Matthew also enjoys golfing, hiking, cooking and exploring different areas of technology. He loves exploring new places and has his eyes set on seeing Taiwan. He is Christ-centered and can be found serving at his local church. You can find Matthew traveling along the coastline and enjoying his favorite drink: an Americano with an extra shot of espresso.

Wafa Alkhatib
 

Wafa Alkhatib MBA 26
Director of Academic Affairs

Wafa Alkhatib is a Bay Area MBA candidate at the University of California, Davis. She earned her first master’s degree in banking management with honors from the Hashemite University in Jordan. During her academic journey, Wafa worked as a professor’s research assistant, gaining valuable experience in graduate education and the academic field.

Wafa’s passion for solving academic problems stems from her extensive experience at the Cultural Office, Embassy of the State of Kuwait in Jordan. Over five years, she assisted undergraduate and graduate students, facilitating solutions for a variety of academic challenges.

In addition to her academic and professional accomplishments, Wafa is a proud mother of three little princesses and cherishes her family. In her free time, she enjoys writing, designing, and walking along the coast. She also teaches Arabic as a second language, driven by her belief that learning is change.
